School of Communication Arts, Bangkok University (BUCA), in partnership with the ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation, Road Safety Work Group in Provincial Level of Thailand (RSWGS) and Yamaha organized a project titled "Ride Motorcycle, Always Wear a Helmet"

 

 

Driving the campaign forward with public relations media across Bangkok University, inviting students and personnel to be part of the road safety campaign. The campaign included activities promoting helmet wearing and safe driving within the university, such as helmet distribution, helmet caravans, helmet wearing campaign workshops, and the production of helmet campaign media.

The project invited Bangkok University students to submit video clips and photographs for a competition under the concept "Ride Motorcycle, Always Wear a Helmet", emphasizing road safety.

 

 

On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the award ceremony for the short clip and photo media campaign was held at Room A3-301 from 9:00-11:20 AM at Bangkok University Main Campus.

Asst. Prof.Dr.Arishai Akraudom, Dean, School of Communication Arts stated that this project is a collaboration between the School of Communication Arts, Bangkok University, ThaiHealth, RSWGS  and Yamaha, with the goal of campaigning for road safety, which is very important. Students participating in the project had the opportunity to learn and work on real-world tasks, and the media produced can be used in actual helmet wearing campaigns.

 

 

The award ceremony was honored by K. Kongkarn Takhiranrit, Director of the Social Risk Factor Support Office at the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Danulada Jamjuree, Head of Road Safety Work Group in Provincial Level of Thailand, who presented awards to Bangkok University students.

  • Second Runner-up: "Spreading Care Across Riders" by Rata Rungthanatikun

The event also included an exhibition of submitted photographs and short video clips titled "Ride Wise, Stay Alive: Ride Smart, Always Wear a Motorcycle Helmet" at the Imagine Lounge, Bear Room, Building A3, 2nd Floor from 9:00-17:00 on November 21-26, 2024, at Bangkok University Main Campus.
