Management Program, School of Business Administration, organized the co-curricular project "AI-Driven Business Analytics: Forecasting, Optimization, and Intelligent Dashboards." The project gave students the opportunity to work hands-on with AI on real business datasets. Dr.Patarawan Chaowasakoo, a lecturer in the Department of Management, School of Business Administration, served as project leader. The event was held in Room B4-306, 3rd Floor, Building B4, Bangkok University.

The project grew out of the data-driven business landscape, in which organizations generate vast amounts of data from sales, marketing, customer interactions, and operations. Turning this data into actionable insights is essential for effective decision-making. Artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning and predictive analytics, helps organizations identify patterns, forecast trends, and optimize outcomes based on data. The Faculty of Business Administration therefore organized this project so that students could apply AI to real datasets and strengthen their analytical skills, strategic decision-making, and ability to make use of emerging technologies.

More than 573 students from two courses took part: MG212 Production and Operations Management (2nd-year students) and MG410 Business Analytics for Strategic Decisions (4th-year students). During the activity, students used MATLAB to forecast business trends, apply optimization to operational decisions such as transportation, and use Agentic AI to enhance their data analysis. They then developed their results into intelligent dashboards that communicate insights as practical business recommendations.

The project was honored to have two distinguished speakers who shared their experience and industry practices: K.Phudit Sombutsirinun, Customer Success Engineer at Ascendas Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and K.Kantika Wongkasem, Senior Application Engineer.

This project is part of the School of Business Administration's efforts to advance AI-ready academic practice. It aligns with the "Practical University" approach, which emphasizes learning through real-world practice and preparing students to apply emerging technologies to today's business challenges.
