School of Business Administration Hosts "FINANSIA: Shaping the Next Generation of Business Leaders" to Build Investment Knowledge and Career-Ready Skills for First-Year Students

School of Business Administration organized a special activity titled "FINANSIA: Shaping the Next Generation of Business Leaders" for first-year students enrolled in BUS101 Principles of Marketing. The event was supported by Finansia Syrus Securities Public Company Limited, aiming to inspire students and prepare them for the future workplace while equipping them with essential skills for the digital-age financial world.

The event was welcomed by   Dr.Krairoek Pinkaeo, Dean, School of Business Administration, who received K.Nusara Rungcharoen, Senior Executive Director of Finansia Syrus Securities Public Company Limited and a Faculty of Business Administration alumna. Ms. Nusara shared her experience and insights under the theme "Experience Sharing for Juniors," along with a Thai Stock Market Workshop themed "Invest Wisely, Think Smart, Plan Your Future."

During the event, students learned how technology can be applied to strengthen the potential of the new generation, gaining an understanding of the role of AI in investment and capital market analysis, portfolio construction, and hands-on experience in basic investing — helping to build skills in data analysis, decision-making, and risk management.

Beyond investment knowledge, Ms. Nusara Rungcharoen also shared three key principles for career success:

            1. Knowledge — including in-depth product or business knowledge relevant to one's work, as well as content knowledge needed for effective communication. She noted that marketing professionals, for example, must deeply understand the products they manage, whether technology or financial products, alongside fundamental principles such as the 4Ps, 4Cs, and 4Es of marketing, or the five core management functions: Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, and Controlling — foundational knowledge that all professionals should understand, regardless of their field of study.

            2. Passion — she emphasized that effort alone may not be enough; one must have the determination to see things through, the courage to rise after failure, and the persistence to keep moving forward until goals are achieved.

            3. Communication — including English proficiency, which is increasingly vital in today's globalized world where collaboration with international colleagues is common, as well as the ability to communicate and present one's own work appropriately. She noted this is a skill many people still lack — some perform excellent work but are unable to convey or showcase it, leaving their contributions unrecognized.

In closing, K.Nusara encouraged students to begin building their resumes from their very first year of study, noting that experiences accumulated throughout their education — such as internships, cooperative education programs, or awards received — will all become important components of their resume upon graduation, serving as concrete proof of their capabilities. This, she noted, is the first quality employers look for when considering candidates for employment.

This collaboration between the School of Business Administration and Finansia Syrus Securities Public Company Limited reflects a shared commitment to developing students into capable graduates ready for future careers, while also opening opportunities for internships and paving the way for students to become key contributors to the business sector.
