Ms. Sutthida Choosomphop ("Prao"), a student in the Art and Design program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, is the creator behind the "Libra" character design, selected as one of the 12 zodiac signs in the "Horo*Dream" Character Design Contest — "A Dream of the Zodiac" — which will be published as both a printed book and e-book for worldwide distribution, and is also part of a project currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.

Crossing the Lines: A Fine Arts Student's Perspective as a Designer Through Character Design
Turning ideas from the screen into something tangible in the future.
Congratulations to Ice (Methas Tipwasri) and Mimi (Phusita Jiwalak), students in the Visual Communication Design program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, for winning 1st Runner-Up at the Junior Motion Battle competition at Motion Fest 2026. Six teams competed, including the Faculty of Communication Innovation at Srinakharinwirot University; the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Silpakorn University; the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Chulalongkorn University; the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Burapha University; the College of Design at Rangsit University; and Bangkok University. The competition required participants to create a 15-second motion graphic based on the brief "Everything Can Fight" and an audio file provided in advance. Teams were given two hours to create their work and one hour to render it. Throughout the competition, participants had to use the organizer's computers and display their screens at all times, showing every step of their design process.

Congratulations to Team Planet Board Game — members Ms. Sutthida Choosomphop ("Prao"), Mr. Nawapol Buason ("Beam"), and Mr. Thanakrit Aunjaidee ("Ohm"), students from the Department of Art and Design, school of Fine and Applied Arts — who won 1st place in the creative board game design contest "Explore the World of Smart Agricultural Innovation and Cutting-Edge Disaster Response," organized by the National Science Museum (NSM).

Reflecting his potential in game design, creativity, and the development of learning media through games
School of Fine and Applied Arts at Bangkok University continues to promote sustainable fashion concepts while empowering the potential of emerging designers through the project “RE-LIFE FABRIC: BU x JASPAL GROUP SUSTAINABLE COLLABORATION 2026.” This initiative is a collaboration between the Fashion Design Program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, and JASPAL GROUP, one of the region’s leading fashion and lifestyle companies. The project provides students with an opportunity to creatively repurpose high-quality leftover fabrics from the production processes of brands under JASPAL GROUP into contemporary fashion products. Guided by the principles of resource efficiency and environmental responsibility, the project forms part of the Fashion Management & Entrepreneurship course. Third-year Fashion Design students gain hands-on experience working with a leading fashion company while developing their analytical, creative, and design skills under real-world material constraints. This reflects Bangkok University’s Practical Learning approach, which aims to strengthen creativity, management capabilities, and sustainability awareness within the fashion industry.
