Fashion Design Program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, continues to build bridges from classroom learning to the professional world through industry partnerships. Students are given the opportunity to create work alongside real fashion brands and experts, developing their potential toward national competitions and careers in the global fashion industry. This is achieved through three key activities:
- "ZANPU SUSTAIN FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AWARD" Project (Under ADF106 Drawing for Creator 2)
Designed to integrate learning with the fashion industry under the Strategic Partner Ecosystem concept, which aims to concretely connect classroom experience with the working world.
The project invited students to create Fashion Illustration works inspired by the ZANPU SUSTAIN brand identity — known for its minimalist, refined, and contemporary aesthetic. K.Chatree Tengha, designer of ZANPU SUSTAIN, joined the panel of judges for the competition.
Following a selection process, ten finalists were shortlisted to present their work to the judges. Miss Warasiri Pratumtong claimed first place and was awarded a special opportunity to intern with ZANPU SUSTAIN for one month.
This project served as a Final Project component aimed at developing students' readiness for the fashion industry, covering design skills, portfolio presentation, and collaboration with industry professionals — reflecting Bangkok University's commitment to experiential learning to prepare graduates for confident entry into the professional world.

2. Fashion Design Program × MTI Makeup Institute — Professional Experience Workshop
(For 4th-year students in FA418 Degree Project in Fashion Design) Aimed at comprehensively preparing students for professional work in the fashion industry.
The activity began with an online seminar by A.Weerin Rasiweerawong, a fashion makeup specialist from MTI Institute, who shared knowledge on the topic of "Makeup Preparation for Fashion Shows," covering the planning process, look design, and systematic backstage management for fashion shows.
The knowledge gained from the seminar was then applied in practice during the students' fashion show preparation. A professional Makeup Artist team from MTI managed and executed makeup for over 100 models, while students had the opportunity to work hands-on alongside the professionals — from setup through live execution on the runway.
This collaboration between the Fashion Design Program and MTI Institute stands as a key example of integrating academic learning with industry practice, enhancing professional skills and providing direct experience to prepare students for careers in fashion and beauty with confidence and effectiveness.

3. Real Leather Stay Different Project
(Final Project presentations under FSD231 Fashion Accessories Design 1) Opening the stage for 2nd-year Fashion Design students to showcase their genuine leather accessories design skills on a global competition platform.
The project was conducted under the concept of nurturing knowledge in contemporary fashion and leather through real experience. Students visited a tannery in the Bang Pu Industrial Estate to learn about genuine leather material production processes directly from the industry. They also received a special lecture from K.Kunchalee Wongsanganan of the Dailyobjects brand, who shared concepts and inspiration in contemporary leather design to further prepare students for competition and future careers in fashion.
All Final Project pieces produced by the students can serve as a stepping stone to national-level competitions that open doors for emerging designers to enter the real industry — and as an important springboard toward collaboration with leading global leather goods brands.
