School of Fine and Applied Arts Students Design participated in creating Motion Graphics to accompany musical performances throughout the event.

School of Fine and Applied Arts Students Create Motion Graphics, Showcasing Skills at CATEXPO2025

300 second and third-year students from the courses CMD331 Motion Graphic Design, CMD348 Advanced Motion Design, and CMD224 Time-based Media Design participated in creating Motion Graphics to accompany musical performances throughout the event.

The Motion Graphics were displayed across three stages:

Tharn Fai Kao Stage
Lalai Ngarn Mapping Stage (at Phra Sumen Fort)
Ron Daed Sai Lom Yam Bai Stage (at Siam Amazing Park Ramindra)

The featured artists included Nont Tanont, The Parkinson, Polycat, Jeff Satur, PiXXiE, WHAL & DOLPH, VIOLETTE WAUTIER, PUN, and others.

Bangkok University students took part in an Art Talk event at Dib Bangkok, gaining the opportunity to learn about and understand the world of contemporary art and culture through direct experience with professionals in the field — including arts and culture organization executives, artists, curators, and architects — while learning about the role of organizations and networks that help drive the international art scene. Ms. Sutthida Choosomphop ("Prao"), a student in the Art and Design program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, is the creator behind the "Libra" character design, selected as one of the 12 zodiac signs in the "Horo*Dream" Character Design Contest — "A Dream of the Zodiac" — which will be published as both a printed book and e-book for worldwide distribution, and is also part of a project currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.

Crossing the Lines: A Fine Arts Student's Perspective as a Designer Through Character Design

Turning ideas from the screen into something tangible in the future.

Congratulations to Ice (Methas Tipwasri) and Mimi (Phusita Jiwalak), students in the Visual Communication Design program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, for winning 1st Runner-Up at the Junior Motion Battle competition at Motion Fest 2026. Six teams competed, including the Faculty of Communication Innovation at Srinakharinwirot University; the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Silpakorn University; the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Chulalongkorn University; the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Burapha University; the College of Design at Rangsit University; and Bangkok University. The competition required participants to create a 15-second motion graphic based on the brief "Everything Can Fight" and an audio file provided in advance. Teams were given two hours to create their work and one hour to render it. Throughout the competition, participants had to use the organizer's computers and display their screens at all times, showing every step of their design process.
