Department of Fashion Design, School of Fine and Applied Arts, has organized an academic collaboration project with Istituto Marangoni, giving fourth-year students in the course FSD425 Fashion Design and Direction the opportunity to learn from Mr. Kristian Steinberg, an international expert in fashion and education.

The activity was held under the theme "Holistic Approach to the Future," aiming to develop students' ability to look at the future of the fashion industry from every angle — through analyzing trends, changes, and potential challenges, while connecting perspectives from business, society, culture, technology, and design.

In addition to lectures and case studies, students were also given briefs to apply their knowledge toward developing concepts and creative work, further building toward the creation of a portfolio to receive feedback from the expert. The BU X Istituto Marangoni project reflects BU Fashion's teaching approach, which places strong emphasis on international experience, systematic analytical thinking, and preparing students to confidently step into the future of the fashion industry.
